Without a doubt Charlize Theron is one of the most beautiful women in the world. Her understated glamour and tomboy attitude, along with her passion and commitment to Animal Welfare, sets her apart from the typical Hollywood starlets.

Charlize grew up on a farm in South Africa. Her mother Gerda, adopted everything from fish to canines and even ostrich's! So it is no wonder that Charlize's passion for animal welfare has grown into a life long commitment, even adopting four canines that live with her at her LA home.

Lending her high profile celebrity image, to generate awareness of animal rights, Charlize stared on the cover of Animal Fair and Animal Wellness magazines. She has campaigned against puppy mills in Kansas and urged shopping centres to lease their stores to pet adoption services (over pet shops) in hope of reducing the number of euthanasia's each year, especially during the Christmas season. Charlize's ongoing support to The Emergency Relief Program, at the International Fund For Animal Welfare, has been fundamental in raising their profile, among many other campaigns that she is committed to, including Animal Rescue Groups and Wildlife Preservation Organisations. And why? Because she believes in caring for animals and that we can each make a difference.
